Why is Blue Cross Blue Shield sticking their nose in my business
I’ve been trying to get a perscription transferred and filled over the past 5 days. It took the pharmacy 3 days to figure out my original perscription was on hold at one of their branches in the same state. When I went to get the perscription filled, the pharmacy said they would have to contact the doctor to make sure the order was indeed valid. Once that was done, now Blue Cross/Blue Sheild has stuck their nose into it asking the doctor why I am continuing to take the same medication. I’ve been taking this particular sleep aid for over a year with no side effects or problems with abuse. I don’t need nor do I want to change the perscription I have; it works don’t fuck with it. What amazes me about our system, is I can go out and spend $6 to $8 on hard liquor and cigarrettes. (These two substances kill more US citizens every year than all the legal and illicit controlled substances combined.) , yet the insurance company says “THEY” need to speak with the doctor before granting approval to the pharmacy to fill the perscription. WHAT THE FUCK? How is this any of their business?
